Lost in the 50's tonight.....

Lost in the Fifties Tonight (In the Still of the Night)

Song by Ronnie Milsap ‧ 1985

Close your eyes, baby

Follow my heart

Call on the memories

Here in the dark

We'll let the magic

Take us away

Back to the feelings

We shared when they played

In the still of the night

Hold me, darlin', hold me tight, oh

So real, so right

I'm lost in the fifties tonight

These precious hours

We know can't survive

But love's all that matters

While the past is alive

Now and for always

Till time disappears

We'll hold each other

Whenever we hear

In the still of the night

Hold me, darlin', hold me tight

So real, so right

I'm lost in the fifties tonight

So right

So real, so right

So real, so right

Ode to Butterflies....

Ode to the Butterfly

Dear butterfly, I adore your iridescent, heart-shaped wings,

Your playful flight that kisses the blossoms of spring.

You measure the heights of the earth and the sky,

With wings outstretched and spirits high.

Wrapped in darkness, you emerge through light,

A symbol that struggle gives wings to flight.

Your arrival whispers spring’s gentle steps,

Your softness wraps like a damsel’s dress.

You wear the hues of the morning sun,

A moving rainbow, second to none.

In silence, you dance through scented air,

A fleeting muse both bold and rare.

You stir the stillness with every glide,

A gentle soul the winds can't hide.

A painter’s dream in fleeting stay—

You teach us to live before we fade away.

Calliope, Queen of Mardi Gras....

Mardi-gras Masks Of Secrets

She faded into the oblivious shadows of night,

The mardi-gras converted from dawn to daylight.

Where she danced elegantly in ballroom raves

She etched her body to the rhythm flowing in waves.

Her hunger was lustful in her eternally gazing eyes,

She kept her secrets beneath beauty's seductive gaze,

But when heart beats drowned out the soulful harmony

Penetrating eyes hummed on gullible  minds uncertainty.

Her burgundy lips etched on life's needing of lustful kisses,

Eager thoughts on this chardonnay on lips it glistened.

Drained off needing, she rested them peacefully in death

Never noticing until departed that they are exempt of breath.

Invigorated she released the energy of life on the dancefloor

Day descended into nights embrace, so she left out the backdoor,

Upon the streets she smiled at the masks hiding her secrets

When an invite did fall in to her hands, her next feed on a leaflet.

May the Joy of the Season last All the New Year.....

 The Joy Of The Season ~

By Deborah Ann Belka

May the joy of the season,

you come to truly know . . .

may the hope Jesus brings

in your heart begin to grow.

May you be wrapped,

in the Light of His love

may you find true delight

in God’s Gift from above.

May this CHRISTmas season,

bring to you much happiness

may your heart be filled

with His wonder and loveliness.

May you accept openly,

the Gift of God’s grace

may the life of Jesus

in your heart you embrace.

May the joy of the season,

become real to you . . .

may the hope Jesus brings

start in you something new!

~~~~~~~~~~
Psalm 32:11
“Be glad in the Lord, and rejoice,
ye righteous: and shout for joy,
all ye that are upright in heart.”
You May Say I'm a Dreamer....
 Imagine
Song by John Lennon
… Imagine there's no heaven
It's easy if you try
No hell below us
Above us, only sky
… Imagine all the people
Livin' for today
Ah
… Imagine there's no countries
It isn't hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
And no religion, too
… Imagine all the people
Livin' life in peace
You
… You may say I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will be as one
… Imagine no possessions
I wonder if you can
No need for greed or hunger
A brotherhood of man
… Imagine all the people
Sharing all the world
You
… You may say I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will live as one
Welcome to the Badlands.......
 Jordan Hudson Sep 2018
Today's World
It's collapsing from beneath us
Tearing us apart
Faster than light further from the start
Have much fright for this dangerous barren land
My words may end up killing every popular band
Where will we go, what do we do, when do we see
What we are really here for, save it for the tree
Those who question will go beneath everything, (let me show, let me show, yeah, yeah, let me show)
Further than we go, further than we know
Beneath all the islands and all of the Russian snow
Beneath all the Middle Eastern sand far as it goes
Beneath the American badlands (here, let me show)
Canyons, rivers, oceans and sea
Believe me, it's nothing, my music is free
Take these unjust words and listen carefully
Yeah, it may sound like I teach geography
But trust me, I'm just saying you have to be aware
Of what's around you, it just isn't fair
We stare at a screen that tell us what to do
Tells us what to do, yeah, tells us what to do
We stare at a screen that tells us what to do
Tells us what to do, yeah, tells us what to do
We stare at a screen that tells us what to do
Tells us what to do, yeah , tells us what to do
It's collapsing from beneath us
Tearing us apart
Faster than light further from the start
Have much fright for this dangerous barren land
My words may end up killing every popular band
Where will we go, what do we do, when do we see
Mother Nature's Kiss.....
Mother Nature
Even on cloudy days, she is beautiful.
Full of life and color
Always moving forward,
Never letting anything get in her way.
She is more beautiful on the bad days.
When the sky is dark and looming,
She can still bring light and life.
She can make you feel safe.
With her songs in the trees, in the water, and in the wind that brushes against your cheeks
She is beautiful.
The Magic Begins.....
When The Majic Begins
You're only a moment away from being more positive and
Effective than you've ever been. You're only a moment away
From living life at its highest level.
The only thing holding you back is your choice to keep
Yourself back. That's a choice you can change right now.
You've gone long enough evading and avoiding your best
Possibilities. Now it's time to accept that you're
Absolutely worthy of the rich, fulfilling life you truly
Desire.
That life can begin to be yours right now. That life can
Start the moment you decide to stop hiding from the unique
Beauty of who you truly are.
Yes, it will take effort, determination, faith, commitment
And discipline. And every moment of it will be infused with
The irreplaceable joy of knowing you're being true to your
Own highest destiny.
Go ahead, from where you are, with what you have, and choose
To be an active participant in the unfolding of your best
Possibilities. This is your life, this is your day, and this
Is when the magic begins.
