 Out of the Darkness

Leather wrapped

feet  bound with

frayed straps

of brown and tan

softly creep

through caverns

bathed in wafting

waves of shimmering

green light.

Cold rain

crisply patters

on the cool slate

of marbled grey,

dripping toward

the cave's mouth.

Violet eyes

light up in the

moss riddled shadows,

scanning the sky

for uniform

cloud coverage.

The drow elf

ventures into

the spruce cover

rainy afternoon,

dry skin savors

the wet caress

of October's downpour.

The Villa Equites is part of our brand new Roma series. In ancient Rome, such small town villas with gardens were found on the ascending streets of the seven hills of Rome. The name of the villa is derived from the social status of the Equites. A wealthy social class, in status still below the ancestral senatorial patrician families. 

Of course, the villa is also perfect for Gorean cities in the central of Gor.

The Dark Tower...

 

The Dark Tower is the center of all creation. It is said to be Gan's body, and is held up by six Beams of great size and length, visible only by their effects on the lands along their lines - such as patterns in the clouds. At each end of the Beams, there is a portal, for a total of twelve. Each portal is protected by a guardian animal. Across the infinite number of worlds, the Tower can only be entered in one: Mid-World. It is necessary to present a sigul of Arthur Eld in order to enter the Tower and in some legends it is believed the Tower itself gave Arthur Eld his Sandalwood Guns and sword Excalibur.
