Water has Memory.....

Water Holds Memory Jay Avian (Excerpt)

I heard that water holds the memories of the world. It lives in places we have not seen and has traveled farther than man. It has seen and heard things we can only envision for ourselves. Every now and then, I sit by my window and let the rain whisper tales of its many, many homes as it brings me on their journey from when it all began.

When the salty ocean air spoke, I heard the crashing and smashing waves upon the distant shoreline. I heard the chattering of people's talk and the pattering of children's feet. Sounds of joy were just within grasp. Farther out, it took me, and the creaking of oak hulls rang in my ears. Scents of damp barrels that carried many spices were scattered among the fleet. The crew uttered not, for they felt a storm brewing. The chaos of the tormenting storm swung the ships to and fro, until at last, they sailed on their sides. The sailors now were lost among the waves, living within her dark abyss.

The river rain is softer, singing the songs of the flowers by her bank. Her soft and swift melodic voice sings of her forest home, the trees she provides for, evergreen every day. The slow-moving, clear water sings of the faces of the animals she meets and provides for. But she also sings a requiem for the blood that spilt within her waters from predators eating their meal. Her rapids have also taken their share of lives. Many folk take a misstep and tumble through the white waters.

The lake is the calmest of them all, I found. The dampened wind that chilled my ears whispered to me of stagnant waters, filled with slow fish ever moving. She whispered of a log cabin upon the shore with a happy family. A boat came out to the center to search for fish, but the fog hid the dark creatures within her. Crocodiles and snakes slither and prey on poor creatures, even man.

In every tale, I found a solitary thing shared among them: balance. Within the stillness, chaos lay. Among the bedlam, wholeness lay. Water holds both life and death, as does history. We have much to learn from water if we lend it our ears.

Tears of a Clown....

 The Tears Of A Clown

Song by The Miracles ‧ 1967

Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah

Now if there's a smile on my face

It's only there trying to fool the public

But when it comes down to fooling you

Now, honey, that's quite a different subject

But don't let my glad expression

Give you the wrong impression

Really, I'm sad (sad, sad, sad, sad)

Oh, I'm sadder than sad (I'm hurt so bad)

You're gone, and I'm hurtin' so bad (I pretend to be glad)

Like a clown, I pretend to be glad (sad, sad, sad, sad)

Now there's some sad things known to man

But ain't too much sadder than the tears of a clown

When there's no one around

Oh yeah, baby

Now if I appear to be carefree

It's only to camouflage my sadness

And honey, to shield my pride, I try

To cover this hurt with a show of gladness

But don't let my show convince you

That I've been happy since you

Decided to go (why did you go?)

Oh, I need you so (I need you so)

I'm hurt and I want you to know (want you to know)

But for others I put on a show, ooh yeah (it's just a show)

Now there's some sad things known to man

But ain't too much sadder than the tears of a clown

When there's no one around

Oh, yeah

Just like Pagliacci did

I try to keep my sadness hid

Smiling in the public eye

But in my lonely room, I cry the tears of a clown

When there's no one around

Oh yeah, baby

Now if there's a smile on my face (tears of a clown)

Don't let my glad expression

Give you the wrong impression (tears of a clown)

Don't let this smile I wear

Make you think that I don't care (tears of a clown)

When really I'm sad

Hurtin' so bad (tears of a clown)

In Winter's Glow.......

 Winter's Glow

A blanket of white, sparkling and pure,

The snow shines in the moonlight.

A world transformed, a winter wonderland

Where all is calm and bright.

The air is crisp, the stars are bright,

The snowflakes glisten as they fall.

A peaceful silence fills the night,

As winter casts its spell on all.

The trees stand tall, their branches bare,

But still they hold such beauty.

Covered in snow, like a bride in white,

They dance in the wind with grace and duty.

Footprints appear, marking the way,

Of creatures big and small.

Rabbits and deer, squirrels and birds,

They leave their mark amidst it all.

And as I stand in this winter's glow,

I feel a sense of peace.

A magical moment frozen in time,

Where all my worries cease.

For just a moment, I am lost

In the beauty of this scene.

And I am reminded that even in darkness,

There is always light to be seen.

The Vampiress Waits....

 A Vampires Song

Step into my lair

This cool calm night

Step into my lair

And give into my plight.

Step into my arms

Feel loves bite

Step into my arms

And say goodbye to light.

Come my love

Come my saviour

Come my shining light of night

Take me

Step into my dreams

And give me your life

Step into my dreams

I'll save you from strife

Step into my nightmare

Feel hungers knife

Step into my nightmare

Listen to deaths fife.

Come my love

Come my saviour

Come my shining light of night

Sing to me

And hear me call

Come my shining light of night.
