The Dragon Trainer.....

A soft breeze billows over the window seal into Princess Aelys's room and caresses her cheek. She smiles and stretches, making a small sound like a kitten and sits up in bed. Suddenly she remembers what day it is! She leaps out of bed and dresses quickly in her simple clothes and rushes out the door. Today is a special you see,for today is her first day as dragon trainer! She can not wait to get there hence the running. Servants watch the Princess run out the door and shake their heads,so not the decorum of a princess but they can not blame her for who doesn't love a dragon?

Dance for a Cure.....

Dance for the Cure

One day we will dance in celebration,

Until then, we dance for a cure.

We move to honor the fight,

To bring the darkness into light.

With every sway, with every breath,

We dance for life, defeating death.

For those who cannot, we spin and sway,

Dancing for a brighter, healthier day.

—Adapted from common "Dance for a Cure"

Communing with the Dead....

Conversations with the dead

Rayne246

I speak to the dead more than I should.

I do not physically visit their graveyards when I wish to speak with them

I also do not summon them through rituals.

I simply speak in a language they once spoke and hope that someone's great uncle or aunt is listening.

The dead are filled with wisdom in their maggot filled brains, but

I do not seek advice when I engage with them.

I just speak and they just listen.

Sure, some might turn in their graves at the vile things I say but they'll never express their disdain.

I believe that some live vicariously through me when I talk about my adventures.

And some feel disgust when I share stories about the men I've met.

I speak truthfully because I do not fear their judgement.

They're too dead to judge,

They're too dead to laugh,

They're too dead to see,

They're too dead to do anything but listen.

The dead will always listen and care more than the living do,

and that's why...

Out for a Midnight Swim....

Oh come to me at night (2019)

English translation © Philip Ross Bullock

Oh come to me at night,

My youthful traveller!

Here beneath the waves

It’s cool and calm.

Here you will find rest

As you fall fast asleep,

Rocked by the rippling waters,

Where, full of yearning,

The waves but doze

On desolate banks.

Across the swelling sea,

Sailing in your wake,

The sea princess will come!

She lures, she sings,

She beckons you to join her…

Defying Gravity.......

Defying Gravity

Song by Idina Menzel and Kristin Chenoweth

Elphaba, why couldn't you have stayed calm for once?

Instead of flying off the handle!

I hope you're happy

I hope you're happy now

I hope you're happy how you've hurt your cause forever

I hope you think you're clever

I hope you're happy

I hope you're happy, too

I hope you're proud how you would grovel in submission

To feed your own ambition

So though I can't imagine how

I hope you're happy right now

Elphie, listen to me, just say you're sorry

You can still be with the wizard

What you've worked and waited for

You can have all you ever wanted (I know)

But I don't want it

No, I can't want it anymore

Something has changed within me

Something is not the same

I'm through with playing by the rules of someone else's game

Too late for second-guessing

Too late to go back to sleep

It's time to trust my instincts

Close my eyes and leap

It's time to try defying gravity

I think I'll try defying gravity

And you can't pull me down

Can't I make you understand

You're having delusions of grandeur?

I'm through accepting limits

'Cause someone says they're so

Some things I cannot change

But 'til I try, I'll never know

Too long I've been afraid of

Losing love I guess I've lost

Well, if that's love, it comes at much too high a cost

I'd sooner buy defying gravity

Kiss me goodbye, I'm defying gravity

And you can't pull me down

Glinda, come with me

Think of what we could do, together

Unlimited

Together, we're unlimited

Together we'll be the greatest team there's ever been

Glinda, dreams the way we planned 'em

If we work in tandem

There's no fight we cannot win

Just you and I, defying gravity

With you and I defying gravity

They'll never bring us down

Well, are you coming?

I hope you're happy

Now that you're choosing this (you, too)

I hope it brings you bliss

I really hope you get it

And you don't live to regret it

I hope you're happy in the end

I hope you're happy my friend

So if you care to find me

Look to the western sky

As someone told me lately

"Everyone deserves the chance to fly"

And if I'm flying solo

At least I'm flying free

To those who ground me

Take a message back from me

Tell them how I am defying gravity

I'm flying high, defying gravity

And soon, I'll match them in renown

And nobody in all of Oz

No wizard that there is or was

Is ever gonna bring me down

I hope you're happy (Look at her! She's wicked, get her)

Bring me down! (No one mourns the wicked! So we've got to bring her)

Oh! (Down)

Fae Queen....

Fae Queen

rising on a soft spring day

stands the earth fae queen

ruby roses and yellow blooms

takes away the winter's gloom

dashing in her dress of wildflowers

building on midday showers

fae queen shares her powers

elm and oak gracefully tower

on her fingertips lacey ivy vines

in the first signs of sunsets through the pines

her smile weaves radiant light

in the deepest pitch of night

her light shines bright

The Elf Princess.....

The Elf Princess

My princess why are you staring up into the sky

Are you relaxing as the beautiful white puffy clouds drift by

Or are you hoping your handsom prince comes galloping along

A prince who is young, big and strong

Or are you pondering the mysteries of the universe

Which are many and so diverse

Why is of little importance, your beauty is beyond compare

Your wonderous beauty shines a soft, sweet light everywhere

We your people will be your strength

Never fear to strive to go to any length

As you have been our guide, our strength over the years

Your love for us, ours for you will overcome all our fears

Down the Witches Road....

The Ballad Of The Witches’ Road (Sacred Chant Version)

Seekest thou the road to all that's foul and fair

Gather sisters fire, water, earth and air

Darkest hour, wake thy power, earthly and divine

Burn and brew with coven true and glory shall be thine

[Chorus]

Down, down, down the road

Down the witches' road

Down, down, down the road

Down the witches' road

Down, down, down the road

Down the witches' road

Circle sewn with fate

Unlock thy hidden gate

[Verse 2]

Marching ever forward 'neath the wooded shrine

I stray not from the path, I hold death's hand in mine

Primal night, giveth sight familiar by thy side

If onе be gone, we carry on, spirit as our guidе

[Chorus]

Down, down, down the road

Down the witches' road (Down the witches' road)

Down, down, down the road (Down the witches' road)

Down the witches' road (Down the witches' road)

Down, down, down the road (Down the witches' road)

Down the witches' road (Down the witches' road)

Blood and tears and bone

Maiden, Mother, Crone

[Verse 3]

The road is wild and wicked, winding through the wood

Where all that's wrong is right and all that's bad is good

Through many miles of tricks and trials, we'll wander high and low

Tame your fears, a door appears, the time has come to go

[Chorus]

Down, down, down the road (Down, down, down, down)

Down the witches' road (Down the witches' road)

Down, down, down the road (Down the witches' road)

Down the witches' road (Down the witches' road)

Down, down, down the road (Down the witches' road)

Down the witches' road (Down the witches' road)

Follow me, my friend

To glory at the end

Magic in Fairy Tales......

Tessa F Apr 2013

Fairytales

Almost everything in the fairytales turned out to be true:

Horrible witches, nasty curses, dark demons, and guarded fortresses.

But princesses?

I thought they were figments of our imaginations.

And yet little girls read storybooks religiously, dreaming of winning over the Prince Charming.

Well ladies, you can keep your pristine and spotless princes.

I know where love and honour truly lies.

It is in the dragon's keep,

Where she is locked away and hidden.

The walls of her own heart blocking everyone out,

Burning everyone down who dared face her inner dragon.

But there is determination running through his veins,

Bravery in every bead of sweat,

A fighter's honour gleaming in his eyes.

Breaking down the barriers to find a damsel in distress, he did the strongest thing:

Held the wretch in his arms.

A soldier with the ability to find perfection in the weakest of souls.

My knight in ***** turnout gear,

The firefighter who discovered a princess.

My love who proved the reality of fairytales,

And found our happily ever after.

This round of Enchantment will be fading into the mists very soon! Don't miss this round or the hunt!!!So many wonderful items to get ♥
