Skeletons of Society.........

Skeletons of Society

Song by Slayer

Minutes seem like days

Since fire ruled the sky

The rich became the beggars

And the fools became the wise

Memories linger in my brain

Of burning from the acid rain

A pain I never have won

Nothing here remains

No future and no past

No one could foresee

The end that came so fast

Hear the prophet make his guess

That paradise lies to the west

So join his quest for the sun

Shades of death are all I see

Fragments of what used to be

The world slowly decays

Destruction fills my eyes

Harboring the image

Of a spiraling demise

Burning winds release their fury

Simulating judge and jury

Drifting flurries of pain

Deafening silence reigns

As twilight fills the sky

Eventual supremacy

Daylight waits to die

Darkness always calls my name

A pawn in this recurring game

Humanity going insane

Shades of death are all I see

Fragments of what used to be

Minutes seem like days

Corrosion fills the sky

Morbid dreams of anarchy

Brought judgment in disguise

Memories linger in my brain

Life with nothing more to gain

Perpetual madness remains

Shades of death are all I see

Skeletons of society

Fragments of what used to be

Skeletons of society

Lost in the Aether....

 Xan Abyss Feb 2016

Souls in the Aether

Solitude defines us.

When our spirits are colliding, and we crash into the silence

of Nothing.

We are not

what we eat,

how we dress,

or who we love,

we are chaos and electric meat

our weary bones,

collapsed with madness.

Left Alone, our fragile souls ignite

and many wither...

As the flames of isolation

reduce the blaze to a glimmer

Til the fires have been weakened

enough to destroy.

Our Souls,

Left to Wander,

Lost in the Aether...

Our Passing Thoughts,

Preserved Eternally,

behind tiny glass windows,

inside little plastic boxes.

We hold this glass over our flames, and suffocate the fires.

Planned Obsolescence: Our Model Has Expired.

If I Only had the Nerve...

If I Only Had the Nerve

Yeh, it's sad, believe me, Missy

When you're born to be a sissy

Without the vim and verve

But I could change my habits

Never more be scared of rabbits

If I only had the nerve

I'm afraid there's no denying

I'm just an awful dandy-lion

A fate I don't deserve

But I could show my prowess

Be a lion, not a mouse

If I only had the nerve

Oh I'd be in my stride

A king down to the core

Oh I roar the way I never roared before

And then I'd rrwuff

And roar some more

I would show the dinosaurus

Who's king around the forus

A king they's better serve

And with my regal beezer

I could be another ceaser

If I only had the nerve

I'd be brave as a blizzard

I'd be gentle as a lizard

I'd be clever as a gizzard

If the Wizard is a Wizard who will serve?

Then I'm sure to get a brain

A heart, a home, the nerve

We're off to see the wizard the wonderful wizard of Oz

We hear that he is a whiz of a wiz

If ever a wiz was there

If ever, oh ever a wiz there was

The Wizard of Oz is one because, because, because, because, because, because

Of the wonderful things he does

We're off to see the wizard the wonderful wizard of Oz
