Send in the Clowns....

 Send in the Clowns

Stephen Sondheim

Isn't it rich?

Are we a pair?

Me here at last on the ground

You in mid-air

Send in the clowns

Isn't it bliss?

Don't you approve?

One who keeps tearing around

One who can't move

Where are the clowns?

Send in the clowns

Just when I'd stopped opening doors

Finally knowing the one that I wanted was yours

Making my entrance again with my usual flair

Sure of my lines

No one is there

Don't you love farce?

My fault, I fear

I thought that you'd want what I want

Sorry, my dear

But where are the clowns?

Quick, send in the clowns

Don't bothеr, they're herе

Isn't it rich?

Isn't it queer?

Losing my timing this late

In my career?

And where are the clowns?

There ought to be clowns

Well, maybe next year...

Relaxing with the Reindeers......

 Warmth in the Frost

In the hush of winter, reindeer huddle so close,

Families bound by the cold, a silent, warm boast.

Through the swirling snow, their soft breaths rise high,

In each shared heartbeat, a bond they unveil, no ghost.

Amidst frosted pines, dreams of summer may call,

Yet here, in the twilight, together they coast.

With the northern lights dancing, stories alight,

In the depth of the night, nature's kinship, our host.

Relaxing in the Pool....

By the water's shimmering gleam,

Where the sun beats down, a golden beam,

Weary bones recline,

Letting go of troubles.

The air is warm, with a chlorine scent,

The body yields, in sweet content.

A gentle breeze, a whispered song,

Where peace and calm have stayed.

The water calls, a cool embrace,

To float and dream, in this serene space.

The mind takes leave, a moment free,

Just the sun and the water.

You May Say I'm a Dreamer....

 Imagine

Song by John Lennon

… Imagine there's no heaven

It's easy if you try

No hell below us

Above us, only sky

… Imagine all the people

Livin' for today

Ah

… Imagine there's no countries

It isn't hard to do

Nothing to kill or die for

And no religion, too

… Imagine all the people

Livin' life in peace

You

… You may say I'm a dreamer

But I'm not the only one

I hope someday you'll join us

And the world will be as one

… Imagine no possessions

I wonder if you can

No need for greed or hunger

A brotherhood of man

… Imagine all the people

Sharing all the world

You

… You may say I'm a dreamer

But I'm not the only one

I hope someday you'll join us

And the world will live as one

The Sea Princess comes ashore....

                                                     “The Poet and the Mermaid”

Emerging from the blue waves

A cheerful and mysterious deity,

With fresh pink lips

And an enchanting ivory breast.

Her splendid raven hair

Locks on her alabaster shoulders

Her eyes have the glow of a star

And the flashing fire of love.

In the Garden She Waits....

 in the garden she waits,

the breeze gently blowing

the loose tendrils of her hair,

the lantern light dances and glints

over the jewels she wears,

she waits in anticipation for the

gentlemen who has stolen her heart,

hoping against hope he will be here

soon to take her away to a new life....
