The Baker.....

THE BAKER

I'd like to be a baker, and come when morning breaks,

Calling out, "Beeay-ko!" (that's the sound he makes)

Riding in a rattle-cart that jogs and jolts and shakes,

Selling all the sweetest things a baker ever bakes;

Currant-buns and brandy-snaps, pastry all in flakes;

But I wouldn't be a baker if . . .

I couldn't eat the cakes.

Would you?

Goddess of Spring....

Goddess of spring

The cold wind greeted

the hoarfrost that

evening as white

butterflies started to

fall from the dark sky.

Soon the pearly blanket

was spread across

the whole land.

It sparkled on the milky

moonlight, giving the old

willow tree a wooly gown.

Covering all the roofs,

the fields of corn and wheat,

the tall grass on the meadow.

But then she appeared,

sending fairies to dance on the

frozen lake thus melting the ice.

And with every step that she took,

snowdrops began to bloom.

Sunshine Day....

It's A Sunshine Day
The Brady Bunch

I think i'll go for a walk outside now
The summer sun's callin my name
(I hear ya now)
I just can't stay inside all day
I gotta get out get me some of those rays
Everybody's smilin
Sunshine day
Everybody's laughin
Sunshine day
Everybody seems so happy today
It's a sunshine day
I think I'll go for a walk out side now
The summer sun knows me by name
(He's callin me)
I gotta get out, gotta get out, gotta get away
I gotta get away, get away, get away, get away...
Into the sunshine day...
Can't you dig the sunshine
Now its all but the same
Can't you hear him callin your name?
Oh, I think I'll take a walk everyday now
The summer sun has shown the way to be happy now
I just can't stay inside all day
I gotta get out get me some of those rays...
Everybody's smilin
Sunshine…

Will You be Part of My World?

There was a little water sprite, her name was Lurlaline;

Amid the water lilies white sometimes she might be seen.

She was a fairy child, Lurlaine, could sit secure and cool,

Upon those lily leaves so green you see in some lone pool.

There would she sit the summer day, singing a song so bright;

You never heard the song, you say, and don't believe it quite?

But that perhaps is just because when you quite near her stood,

You did not notice where she was, or listen as you should.

It happened in the month of June, the happy summer time.

She always sang a lovelier tune and wove a lovelier rhyme,

And you, too, like to Lurlaline, a lovelier song would sing,

If only you knew what they mean, the flowers and ev'ry thing.

If you were like a water sprite—the water sprites know well

The wondrous things of day and night, and all they have to tell;

They know and love the creatures wild, and all the flowers that grow;

They live with them and love them well, God's hidden pets they know.

And now if you want more to know what Amodine saw there,

You first must love all things below, in water, earth, and air;

You first must love all things that move among the trees and flowers,

And then you shall have more to love in shining fairy bowers.

The Glory of Nature....

 So much to write about of Mother Nature
Her beauty all around us night and day
One could talk about her till the call of the reaper
So much of her to write of and to say.

So much to love about in Mother Nature
She is all around us everywhere to see
Her beauty keeps on changing with her Seasons
There is not one as beautiful as she.

This simple rhyme i dedicate to Nature
The Queen of Planet Earth from pole to pole
She can be gentle with a kindly disposition
But when she grows angry she can take great toll

On human and animal life and man made structures
When angry she flattens everything in her way
But to live we depend on her our great Earth Mother
And in her bosom our last remains will lay.

A Fairie's Wish.....

Two little clouds, one summer's day,
Went flying through the sky;
They went so fast they bumped their heads,
And both began to cry.
Old Father Sun looked out and said:
'Oh, never mind, my dears,
I'll send my little fairy folk
To dry your falling tears.'
One fairy came in violet,
And one wore indigo;
In blue, green, yellow, orange, red,
They made a pretty row.
They wiped the cloud-tears all away,
And then from out the sky,
Upon a line the sunbeams made,
They hung their gowns to dry.

Watching the Falling Snow.....

White Noise

In all the world
There's nothing like
The sound of falling snow--

The Only noise
I've ever known
That makes the clocks move slow;

The only sound
That sweeps away
The din of city streets;

And wraps around,
In soft embrace,
'Most everyone it meets;

A sound that's not
A sound at all---
A quiet,soft and dear,

That comforts all
The sleepy souls,
Who sit,and watch,and hear.
