Relaxing in the Glade...

The Glade – poem

Today a weeping willow caressed my feet
While I weathered a storm in my mind.
A shrouded breeze flew around me, and I
Lost my axe to the shuffling leaves.

In this garden of rustling blankets,
Our bodies bend: our roots go deep.
Come to the glade, where sunshine and tree
Dance through the tempest
 – Disarming me.

Beware the things that go Bump in the night....

Things that Go Bump in the Night

    by “Graffiti Poet”

I’ve never been one for being afraid,
Or running away from a fight,
But I shiver with fear, whenever I hear
Things that go bump in the night.

You can call me a fool, if I hear a ghoul
Creaking its foot on the stair,
I’m outta that place, at double quick pace
You’re not going to keep me in there.

I know they’re not real, it’s just how I feel
We all have our crosses to bear,
At the first chilly breeze, I’m down on my knees
Reciting the words of a prayer.

If I saw a ghost, what would frighten me most
Would be if they noticed me too,
I’d probably faint, seeing something that ain’t;
Something you shouldn’t see through.

The worst thing I’ve seen, in life or on screen
Is a poltergeist turning her head,
I kept on the light, for many a night
And always checked under my bed.

You may laugh and scoff, if it’s spooky I’m off
At the first sign of something not right,
It’s true what I’ve said, I’m afraid of the dead
And things that go bump in the night....

Lady Murray Waits.....

Lady Murray always worries when her husband goes on his long trips for supplies.She finds herself waiting by the seaside searching for his ship on the horizon.

She tries to distract herself with shopping at the local market for flowers to make the home pretty for his return.She has panic attacks and fainting spells when she thinks of what horrors or traps her husband could be encountering.So as a precaution she wears a health potion on a cord around her neck within easy reach.

 Even as she sleeps she has feverish nightmares of the battles he could be caught in the middle of with no escape.

 She wakes up in cold sweats shivering and to ease her mind takes long walks.Where she always finds herself back on the docks with the other ships.Always dreaming of the day he will be home and safe in her loving arms once again.

Medieval Faire for Relay for Life Unmasking a Cure is well underway and runs from May 18th thru June 18th.So many wonderful creators have come together to show their love and support for such a Noble and Wonderful Cause.So don't forget to drop on by....

I sing a song of Joy...

Songs of Joy by William Henry Davies

Sing out, my soul, thy songs of joy;
Sing as a happy bird will sing
Beneath a rainbow's lovely arch
In the spring.

Think not of death in thy young days;
Why shouldst thou that grim tyrant fear?
And fear him not when thou art old,
And he is near.

Strive not for gold, for greedy fools
Measure themselves by poor men never;
Their standard still being richer men,
Makes them poor ever.

Train up thy mind to feel content,
What matters then how low thy store?
What we enjoy, and not possess,
Makes rich or poor.

Filled with sweet thought, then happy I
Take not my state from other's eyes;
What's in my mind -- not on my flesh
Or theirs -- I prize.

Sing, happy soul, thy songs of joy;
Such as a Brook sings in the wood,
That all night has been strengthened by
Heaven's purer flood.

The wind blows
I breathe deeply
I close my eyes so tight
I can barely see light
It feels as if I float in thin air
It's relaxing, it's refreshing
It's peace, it's nature
It's as if I can fly
And never die...
