Going To The Renaissance Faire

Going to the Renaissance Faire has thrown my spirit back

to noble pursuits of romance, adventure, magick acts

and rediscover mankind's family tree, ancient roots,

if only for eight hours of no phones, computers or suits

Lords and Ladies, crowned Kings and Queens,

I'm still naive as to what old English means

armored knights in chainmail, swords of cold steel,

how charming things seemed, so frighteningly real

those essentials they're so desperately lacking

clean privies, portable Johnnys send me packing

I long to take a peaceful dump out in the woods,

to savor ethnic flavors, quaint handcrafted goods

ah, the heavenly scent of fully blossomed red roses,

foul stenches carried on the air, wafted by our noses

voluptuous wenches in tightly bound bodices, bosoms pert,

unevenly paved roads of gravel, sand, stones and dirt

upon my weekend travels I've seen many wonderful new sights,

how fast feudal life unravels, men plunder villages and unite

brave war heroes, meek women and children, slaves long unfree,

fight for human rights, not quite what it's cracked up to be

coy sages are enchanting in their mystically hexing ways,

lusty female parts performed on stage by young boys and gays

where a doting heart is truer in the eyes of the beholder,

Shakespeare wrote pages of perplexing, dreamy plays to smolder

fair unchaste maidens await to surprise unwedded lovers,

disgraced preachers secretly made out under silky bedcovers

great bardic tales of yore, setting poetic rhymes to song,

sexist lies and treachery, everyone knew where they belong

of a warrior's faults, the royal court Jester fools,

an age of chivalry, loyalty and duty, honor still rules

beauty existed around even monarchs or peasant folks,

such a hard life, yet they made time for bawdy jokes

Today I give thanks for all those blessings I've got,

~~including SMOKED TURKEY LEGGES, HUZZAH!!!~~

living in a solemnly dark medieval world, there wasn't alot

dank days of sexism, evil, and treachery still abound,

but now we can add laziness to our common battle ground

Complete farm with various buildings, stables and many decorative items. Suitable for all kinds of role play settings, e.g. medieval, gor, fantasy, etc. 

The farmhouse itself has a small entrance area and two separate rooms. Moreover you will find a spacious attic. Beside it is another small building that can be used as a storage facility, but also as an additional residential house. A small kitchen garden is located in front of the farmhouse. 

The pig pen has some sound effects which can be switched on or off by clicking on the floor. We have also added another barn and many decorative items. In case you want to remove some of the items, please make sure to unlink them first.

Del-ka Aedilis ~ Civitas Series - Aemilia @ Mainstore

 

 

 

Villa Aemilia is a typical Villa Urbana of the late republic. Elaborate

architecture and urban comfort determine the character of the villa.  Luxury

houses of this kind could be found, for example, on the hills outside Rome, on the

Gulf of Naples in cities such as Puteoli, Baiae, Pompeii or Cumae. The main

purpose was the villa owner's secluded summer stay, during which Hellenistic

culture was cultivated and sumptuous banquets were held. Wealthy patricians with

great names retreated there to escape the heat, noise and stench of Rome and relax

by the sea or in the mountains.

The impressive atrium with four adjoining rooms is located in the front area. The

owner's office overlooks the spacious garden. Also from the garden you can reach

the open summer dining room (summer triclinium), across from it is the slave and

kitchen wing.

The garden itself is surrounded by a portico and open on one side as a vantage

point. In addition, there is a small annex in the garden which can be used as a

guest room. Of course there are also a pool, secluded niches for sitting, various

trees, flowers and hanging wisteria.

The Villa and the individual parts are copyable and modifiable. However, we

recommend at least basic building knowledge if you want to change something.

The Rezbox is located at the entrance, which should also serve as a suitable

height indication for the ground level below the structure. We recommend to rez

the complete structure approx. 5 - 10 m above the actual ground level. After

everything has been rezzed, you can slowly move the box downwards and align the

structure.

Terraforming skills are required.
