The Celts - GENRE

Everything in Mother Nature is considered sacred by the Celtic Druids, so every plant, tree, animal, fish and bird is seen as sacred too. But in the same way that some trees and plants, such as the oak and mistletoe, receive special veneration, so do certain creatures receive particular attention by the Druids. According to their particular characteristics different animals were used by the Celtic Druids to symbolize different powers, attributes or gifts. They are often connected with the world of spirits and gods.

The New Round of Genre has opened! This rounds theme is The Celts. In this blog I am showcasing some of the wonderful items I found there.I hope you like them as much as I do....

Dark Angels

                        Let me save you

I want to drown
In the depths of your mind,
In the sea of your soul.
Or maybe while I’m swimming down there,
In the dark, inky ocean that is your thoughts,
I can pull you to the surface of them
And teach you how to breathe.

Under the Sea

Yeah, under the sea (Under the sea)
Under the sea (Under the sea)
When the sardine
Begin the beguine
It's music to me (It's music to me)
What do they got? A lot of sand
We got a hot crustacean band
Each little clam here
Know how to jam here
Under the sea
Each little slug here
Cuttin' a rug here
Under the sea
Each little snail here
Know how to wail here
That's why it's hotter
Under the water
Ya we in luck here
Down in the muck here
Under the sea

Dance of the Serpents

Dance of the Serpents

Darkness...
Drums sound from the darkness,
a slow hypnotic beat,
as the light builds a silouette appears,
hips sway to the rhythm,
arms rise and fall in snake like movements,
the light becomes brighter,
the green glow of the Orion girl dancers skin comes into sight,
snakes appear and wrap themselves around her legs and move upward,
her body moves in rhythm to their movements,
Her hair seems to float around her body,
Lost in the trance of the Music and Serpents,
The tempo builds,
she begins to Shimmy and then twirl in fast circles
the music builds to a crescendo and stops with a sharp beat of the Drum,
Silence.....
Her eyes slowly open and you see her serpent eyes,
The Dance of the serpent has taken her over Body and Soul.....

Secret Garden Maiden

Quietly she glides thru the flowers,
the silk of her skirt rustles as she walks,
Her Elven ears twitch at every sound of the forest in joy,
with the quiet sound of her fluttering wings is the only thing to disturb the stillness
I am the lily of the valley, hidden among all beauty.   The sweetness of the flowers you smell, the song you hear in the whispering wind. The clouds you see floating above all. I am everywhere around you yet invisible to your eyes. To each their own, their beauty within. Look deep inside and there I'll be .Find the shimmer of Fairy dust playing among the breeze and catch a glimpse of her lands...

Mmm...
So this is love, mmm...
So this is love
So this is what makes life divine
