Magic in Fairy Tales......

Tessa F Apr 2013

Fairytales

Almost everything in the fairytales turned out to be true:

Horrible witches, nasty curses, dark demons, and guarded fortresses.

But princesses?

I thought they were figments of our imaginations.

And yet little girls read storybooks religiously, dreaming of winning over the Prince Charming.

Well ladies, you can keep your pristine and spotless princes.

I know where love and honour truly lies.

It is in the dragon's keep,

Where she is locked away and hidden.

The walls of her own heart blocking everyone out,

Burning everyone down who dared face her inner dragon.

But there is determination running through his veins,

Bravery in every bead of sweat,

A fighter's honour gleaming in his eyes.

Breaking down the barriers to find a damsel in distress, he did the strongest thing:

Held the wretch in his arms.

A soldier with the ability to find perfection in the weakest of souls.

My knight in ***** turnout gear,

The firefighter who discovered a princess.

My love who proved the reality of fairytales,

And found our happily ever after.

This round of Enchantment will be fading into the mists very soon! Don't miss this round or the hunt!!!So many wonderful items to get ♥

The other side of the Looking Glass...

Mary Howitt wrote “The Spider and the Fly,” the first stanza of which originally read,

“Will you walk into my parlour?” said the spide to the fly,

“‘Tis the prettiest little parlour that ever you did spy.

The way into my parlour is up a winding stair,

And I’ve got many curious things to show when you are there.”

“Oh, no, no,” said the little fly, “to ask me is in vain,

For who goes up your winding stair can ne’er come down again.”

SO MANY WONDERFUL THINGS TO SEE AT THIS ROUND OF ENCHANTMENT!IF YOU HAVE NOT BEEN DON'T MISS IT!! AND BY ALL MEANS DON'T MISS THE HUNT!!!

Oh! To Fly with the Butterflies.....

Rise Up, Fly High, Like A Butterfly – A Poem About Finding Your Own Beauty

by Charlotte Smith

Butterflies

Each so unique

Different sizes, different shapes,

So many colors,

Yet each so indefinitely

Beautiful

Spreading their delicate wings

as they emerge into the world

And begin to fly,

Owning their individuality

as they flourish.

Be your own butterfly,

Embrace your beautiful self

Fix your broken wings

Be proud of who you are,

Rise up

Fly high

Like a butterfly

Skeletons of Society.........

Skeletons of Society

Song by Slayer

Minutes seem like days

Since fire ruled the sky

The rich became the beggars

And the fools became the wise

Memories linger in my brain

Of burning from the acid rain

A pain I never have won

Nothing here remains

No future and no past

No one could foresee

The end that came so fast

Hear the prophet make his guess

That paradise lies to the west

So join his quest for the sun

Shades of death are all I see

Fragments of what used to be

The world slowly decays

Destruction fills my eyes

Harboring the image

Of a spiraling demise

Burning winds release their fury

Simulating judge and jury

Drifting flurries of pain

Deafening silence reigns

As twilight fills the sky

Eventual supremacy

Daylight waits to die

Darkness always calls my name

A pawn in this recurring game

Humanity going insane

Shades of death are all I see

Fragments of what used to be

Minutes seem like days

Corrosion fills the sky

Morbid dreams of anarchy

Brought judgment in disguise

Memories linger in my brain

Life with nothing more to gain

Perpetual madness remains

Shades of death are all I see

Skeletons of society

Fragments of what used to be

Living the Steampunk Life...

Steampunk

Looking into cold metal eyes,

Brown and rusting away,

Longing for some meaning.

Surrounded by a world of metal,

Building people like machines,

Programming their every action.

We desire to know what is real,

But all that is reality is cold,

Cold as the metal that forges flesh.

Hearts of iron and steam,

Brains of wires and steel,

Living in this steampunk world.

The Magic Begins.....

When The Majic Begins

You're only a moment away from being more positive and

Effective than you've ever been. You're only a moment away

From living life at its highest level.

The only thing holding you back is your choice to keep

Yourself back. That's a choice you can change right now.

You've gone long enough evading and avoiding your best

Possibilities. Now it's time to accept that you're

Absolutely worthy of the rich, fulfilling life you truly

Desire.

That life can begin to be yours right now. That life can

Start the moment you decide to stop hiding from the unique

Beauty of who you truly are.

Yes, it will take effort, determination, faith, commitment

And discipline. And every moment of it will be infused with

The irreplaceable joy of knowing you're being true to your

Own highest destiny.

Go ahead, from where you are, with what you have, and choose

To be an active participant in the unfolding of your best

Possibilities. This is your life, this is your day, and this

Is when the magic begins.
