Have Tea with the Ancestors....

drink from the well of the ancestors

thirst no more

hunger will not find us

loneliness is abandoned

there is only fullness now

called to the feed on universes

let's birth new worlds

mountains sink

into our hearts

penetrating  stuckness

wind sings our names

collapse in my arms

we will grieve together

remember how life lives

tenderly kissing your muddled head

you say, we are made of the universe

together we are enough

WinterTime......

 Winter Time

Late lies the wintry sun a-bed,

A frosty, fiery sleepy-head;

Blinks but an hour or two; and then,

A blood-red orange, sets again.

Before the stars have left the skies,

At morning in the dark I rise;

And shivering in my nakedness,

By the cold candle, bathe and dress.

Close by the jolly fire I sit

To warm my frozen bones a bit;

Or with a reindeer-sled, explore

The colder countries round the door.

When to go out, my nurse doth wrap

Me in my comforter and cap;

The cold wind burns my face, and blows

It's frosty pepper up my nose.

Black are my steps on silver sod;

Thick blows my frosty breath abroad;

And tree and house, and hill and lake,

Are frosted like a wedding cake.

– Robert Lewis Stevenson

 MY BROKEN UMBRELLA

Thu, 02/13/2014 - 00:27 -- sunnybunny

I’m walking in a storm

With a broken umbrella.

The rain runs down my face.

Thunder roars,

With quakes and booms,

Like a war drum

In the distance.

Lightning quivers,

Like a bow after the

Arrow has been shot.

It lights up the road Home,

But I walk

The other way.

With my broken umbrella

Still over me.

The Christmas Elf....

  The Elves

    Beyond the ocean many a mile,
        And many a year ago,
    There lived a wonderful queer old men
        In a wonderful house of snow;
    And every little boy and girl,
        As Christmas Eves arrive,
    No doubt will be very glad to hear,
        The old man is still alive.

    In his house upon the top of a hill,
        And almost out of sight,
    He keeps a great many elves at work,
        All working with all their might,
    To make a million of pretty things,
        Cakes, sugar-plums, and toys,
    To fill the stockings, hung up you know
        By the little girls and boys.

    It would be a capital treat be sure,
        A glimpse of his wondrous ‘shop;
    But the queer old man when a stranger comes,
        Orders every elf to stop;
    And the house, and work, and workmen all
        Instantly take a twist,
    And just you may think you are there,
        They are off in a frosty mist.

Oh My Frog Prince.....

[after Tiana and Naveen get married, they unexpectedly become human again]
Mama Odie: Like I told y'all, kissing a princess breaks the spell.
Prince Naveen: Once you became my wife, that made you...
Tiana: ...a princess. You just kissed yourself a princess.
Prince Naveen: And... I'm about to do it again.
