Waiting on Cupid's Arrow.....

 A Gentle Wait

The heart remains a quiet, empty space,

Watching the stars within a lonely sky,

A waiting, yearning, and expectant place,

As countless moments and days pass by.

Oh Cupid, take your aim, let fly the dart,

And wake the love that waits within this heart.

Don't Need No Fake People....

Tattooed Millionaire

Song by Bruce Dickinson

Tattooed boys with expensive toys.

Living in a bubble of sin.

Money can buy you most of anything.

Fix your nose or the mess your in.

Front page news you can share your views.

With a population that wants to be like you.

Out on the strip. Out on the tiles.

Same old greed behind the PR smiles.

You and all your entourage. To me your all the same.

You and all your entourage. Playing foolish games.

I don't want your big city shining.

I don't want your silver lining.

I don't want to be a tattooed millionaire.

He's got a wife, she ain't no brain child.

EX mud queen of Miami.

In his stretch cadillac, he keeps her in the back.

With his CD player and his bottle of Jack.

LA dude. LA Attitude. Laid back, selfish and getting fat.

Body gaurds, Porn Stars, Gold credit cards.

Using each other. Running for cover.

I don't want your big city shining.

I don't want your silver lining.

I don't want to be a tattooed millionaire.

The Perfect Afternoon at the Beach....

 A Day At The Beach

I stand at the beach

Sand in my feet

The sun is shining bright

It’s such a beautiful sight

I stand at the beach

Water over my feet

The sea is glowing blue

Ocean waves splashing too

I sit at the beach

Enjoying a wonderful view

Beautiful kites in the sky

Ice cream trucks passing by

I walk on the beach

A cone in my hand

The ocean breeze misty and cool

Sandcastles high and tall

I swim at the beach

Cold water on my skin

The saltwater in my mouth

Having fun without a doubt

A day at the beach

I wouldn’t have missed

Smiley faces everywhere

I always love it here

I Want to be Part of that World Above...

Maybe he's right

Maybe there is something the matter with me

I just don't see how a world that makes such wonderful things could be bad

Look at this stuff

Isn't it neat?

Wouldn't you think my collection's complete?

Wouldn't you think I'm the girl

The girl who has everything?

Look at this trove

Treasures untold

How many wonders can one cavern hold?

Looking around here you'd think

Sure, she's got everything

I've got gadgets and gizmos a-plenty

I've got whozits and whatzits galore

You want thingamabobs?

I've got twenty!

But who cares?

No big deal

I want more

I wanna be where the people are

I wanna see, wanna see 'em dancin'

Walking around on those, what do you call 'em?

Oh, feet

Flippin' your fins, you don't get too far

Legs are required for jumping, dancing

Strolling along down the, what's that word again?

Street

Up where they walk, up where they run

Up where they stay all day in the sun

Wanderin' free, wish I could be

Part of that world

What would I give if I could live out of these waters?

What would I pay to spend a day warm on the sand?

Bet'cha on land they understand

Bet they don't reprimand their daughters

Bright young women, sick of swimmin'

Ready to stand

And ready to know what the people know

Ask 'em my questions and get some answers

What's a fire and why does it, what's the word?

Burn?

When's it my turn?

Wouldn't I love, love to explore that shore up above?

Out of the sea

Wish I could be

Part of that world

The Pool Life.....

The Pool of Life

The pool of life,
you swim and you dive,
a child's water slide,
a chlorinated paradise,
the four-leaf clover fills,
echoes of leaps and splashes,
a Charley Horse or two,
tuna bread and casserole,
mother's hats,
and laughing games,
sunglasses,
and kicking feet,
SPF and tanning lotion,
a lifeguard post, dilapidated
the clover greens,
the clover molds,
winter passes eleven-fold,
whitening knees come out to play,
but the swimming hole is now,
mistaken
for a garden.

Making a List and Checking it Twice....

Santa's Little Helper

The Christmas season's drawing near,
We give gifts to those we hold dear.

Stockings are filled to the brim with toys,
Santa brings gifts for the good girls and boys!

He'll ride in his sleigh with his reindeer that fly,
He'll tell the elves, "Thank you, now I must say goodbye!"

Down the chimney he'll come with a bag,
That jolly old guy, has a sure right to brag!

Leave him some milk and some freshly baked cookies,
He'll leave dolls and toys, and maybe some bookies!

Enough about Santa, how about you?
Do you keep your room clean? Are you nice to others too?

For you, my friend, are recieving this note,
I'm your secret santa, this poem I wrote!

Are you on the nice list? I'm sure you are,
But Santa's coming, the holidays aren't far!

And now as this note comes to an end,
I'll say goodbye, for you're my best friend!

My identity shall still remain hidden,
For as your secret santa, to tell is forbidden!

A Beautiful Day at the Cove...

     IT'S A BEAUTIFUL DAY

It's a beautiful day
And I think I'll say,
That I've never seen one like this before.
It's a wonderful time
To refresh my mind,
On the joy that life can hold in store.

And the smile you see upon my face,
Is the gift I give to you.
If it makes you smile as you walk away;
Then, you've got a gift , you can give it too.

It's a thing of bliss,
Like a morning kiss;
When the sun says hello to my heart.
Takes me by the hand.
And I understand,
That the world is God's own work of art.

And the smile you see upon my face,
Is the gift I give to you.
If it makes you smile as you walk away;
Then, you've got a gift, you can give it too.

Midnight rendezvous in the the Queensgarden....

“RENDEZVOUS SONNET”

“The long day wanes the slow moon climbs,
My pale enclave inspires me to write,
That of our midnight love rendezvous,
As well as awful dreams of life’s hardships,

All can be forgotten of travesty’s that followed,
As I easily compare you to a light of stardust,
Traipse of her breaching my mind of that day,
Thinking of your prompt nobility fills my days.

My love for you is the dedicated anamnesis,
Our heated times of past frolics of seasons,
Our summertime on the immense sleepy hollows,
The sounding furrows for my purpose holds

It may be that the gulfs will wash us down,
The prudence labor loving procured slowly,
Whisking your rugged ways and thro's endings,
Subdued only to thro’s closure of laudability,
Ode to my rendezvous sonnet”
