The Elvish Princess
Deep within the forest green
A secret place of those who dream.
An Elfin maiden waits for thee
Robed of bright silver-white
With flowing tresses of gold.
She is whispering tales beneath the pines
Songs in verse, heroic and sublime.
Of ancient cities in treetop green
Of moss meadows meshed Larkspur.
Wary of thickets in crowned cocklebur.
Her laughing water in elfish tongue
Collected within deep sanguine pools.
Too enchanted to stop and drink.
Gentle are these quiet folk
Who see beyond the mortal flesh
Escape the rush of mans progress.
The Proud pale boxes hewn,
Of brick steel and Stone.
