Corrupting the Fade with every step forward on.

The golden city became black where they stood,

Casting down the magisters; twisted darkspawn.

Throughout eons, man has evaded their demise,

Consuming ancient cursed blood just to survive.

Grey Warden sacrifice is all to prevent their rise,

'tis on their deaths that all of Thedas may thrive,

No matter what forces may rail against mankind,

Our elves, humans and dwarves always prevail.

This plight is what, for us, the maker has designed,

Though our enemies try to destroy it, to no avail.

Petty affairs often disguise true evil's machinations,

Royal affairs, mage rebellions and templar abuses.

Foreign invasions, witch's plots, silly accusations,

Vulnerability is all this bitter infighting produces.

'tis the heroes of Thedas we must thank above all,

The Hero of Ferelden and the champion of Kirkwall,

They're the ones who take action while we forestall.
