Under the Moonlight ....

Under The Moonlight

Under the moonlight, when silence reigns,

But the person inside me rages in vain,

I gaze upon the sky and smiled so wide,

As moonbeams fall and my heart begins to reside,

In the gentle glow my soul finds a place,

Where turmoil fades and peace takes it's space,

I lose myself in the lunar maze,

And find solace in this gentle, shimmering haze...

Another Day in Paradise...

Beach Paradise

Everyone has their own paradise

their secret image of their perfect land;

mine just happens to be surrounded

by beautiful waves and cool soothing sand.

With each single caress

of the water against my toes;

it's like the very salt cleanses my soul

and washes away all my woes.

At the end of each perfect day

when all the fun of the games are done;

The perfect ending is when you sit there

and watch the breathtaking setting sun.

The very feeling i get

from the water against my skin;

is enough to cleanse me

of all my past sins.

When i'm here and look at myself in a reflection

i metamorphosize into a whole new me;

no longer do i feel chained down

but weightless, wild, and above all free.

Cheese,Yes Please!!!

I need cheese! I need cheese!

Didn't you know?

It sends power to my knees!

So give it to me, please, pretty please,

My mood in all ways it does appease.

I'll have it on crackers,

I'll have it on rye,

Without the stuff I'll surely die.

I don't know how,

I don't know why,

But take it away, and I'll sit down and cry!

I've got to have cheese,

It's my heart's desire,

I've got to have cheese,

For my body's on fire.

Without my cheese the results may be dire,

For without it I fear I may expire!

(Poem adapted from "Cheese, Please!" by suecat on All Poetry)

As the Seasons Change ...We are Closer to Halloween.....

The amber sun yields its heavy crown,

As crisp, cool shadows settle down.

The summer’s hum begins to fade,

In golden light and amber shade.

A sudden breath of northern air,

Stirs through branches, stripping bare

The heavy green of August days,

For scarlet leaves and smoky haze.

The earth exhales a final sigh,

Beneath a vast and clearing sky.

The lingering heat now slips away,

To greet the autumn's shorter day.

This means it is getting closer to My Favorite time of Year! Halloween and all the spookiness that comes with it ♥

Cottage of the Moon....

Tis Moonlight

'TIS moonlight, summer moonlight,

All soft and still and fair;

The solemn hour of midnight

Breathes sweet thoughts everywhere,

But most where trees are sending

Their breezy boughs on high,

Or stooping low are lending

A shelter from the sky.

And there in those wild bowers

A lovely form is laid;

Green grass and dew-steeped flowers

Wave gently round her head.

Protector of the Forest...

The Great Forests of Eld

These are my forests.

the Great Forests of Eld

and they are plenty in number

and many in age,

were it not for their ill protections

i would have no motive,

yet i am their guardian

The Guardian of Eld

and i shall protect all creatures and life forms existing

within the walls of my sheltered,

great forests.

These are my forests

The Great Forests of Eld,

if you enter by force

i will expel you,

if you enter by compassion

i will enlist you amongst these great woods

but steer clear the fire-forest for

that is my home.

and in my home none shall be spared

for in my home is nothing

except the sanction of my heart

that was once harshly earned.

Peace in the Kitchen....

A Kitchen Prayer

By Klara Munkres

Lord of all pots and pans and things, since I’ve no time to be A saint by doing lovely things, or watching late with Thee,Or dreaming in the dawn-light, or storming heaven's gates,

Make me a saint by getting meals, and washing up the plates.Warm all the kitchen with Thy love, and light it with Thy peace;Forgive me all my worrying, and make my grumbling cease.Thou who didst love to give men food, in room or by the sea,Accept the service that I do—I do it unto Thee.
