Verdant Danger

The Hill Giant
stomps across
the verdant pasture
and swings his oaken
tree club at the herd
of passing Hippogriff.

A hunter pack of
agile Wood Elves
draw their masterwork
bows in defense of their
trusted steeds.

Arrows riddle the
drooping face of the
hunched troll skin
clad Giant.
Bloody revenge was
written on his on his heart,
until bright view
was plucked out by
a swift shaft.


The Hill Giant grasps
at the gaping hole where
his ocular orb departed,
and fled to the piney hills
to nurse his wounds.


The Wood elves rejoice
and drink Blackberry wine
in honor of their victory.
