Can't find Sherlock or Perry Mason

Holding my own to solve this on my own

It's more than a mystery...so I'm searching

Nor will I rest until this is completely solved

Grasping onto my senses...there's work to do

For there's something sad out there to find

Often front page news...yet it hasn't been found

Right now I'm diligently...searching for clues

Clues disregarded by the many but this trained eye

Leaving little doubt to what my search will bring

Understanding clearly what the bottom line is
