Withdrawal to Tranquility....

Halflight

A leisurely withdrawal to tranquility,
The sun, she descends.
Signifying an end,
Yet also a beginning -
New start, new change, new opportunity.

Gaze upon the sky spread before you like a canvas.
Mother Nature hand-paints tinges of each hue,
Mellow watercolours from periwinkle to scarlet.
Each day an ever-changing embodiment of her aptitude,
A fresh spectacle of allure.

Halflight turns to scenes of soft dusk,
Tiny opals of stars embellish the stratosphere,
The moon now smiles his spectral lustre.

Even a nirvana remains hollow in your absence -
In beauty, I reminisce,
It's lost, without you.

The Bride Reborn....

Bride Of Frankenstein

I have a favor to ask of you, Dr. Frankenstein
because this monster needs her mate
please give him strong arms to hold me with
gentle eyes that are electrifying to look into
tender lips with a kiss to die for
give him soft hair that I could run my fingers through
hands like Percy Shelley, so he could write poetry for me
feet like Fred Astaire, so he could sweep me off of mine
give him a sweet voice that could sing me to sleep
and of course, the most important part, a true and loving heart.
I know that no man is perfect, but this is as close as it gets.
Is this too much to ask?

Fall is Finally Here....

School. That wonderful stage of our youth when the worries of an adult life are still far away and the only things of concern are grades and whether our crush has noticed us.

As you have probably noticed, there is a huge variety of anime shows in which the theme of school and school clubs is thoroughly explored. That period is considered a very important bridge between innocence and adult responsibilities, so it is no wonder that many people enjoy a walk down memory lane or simply want to run away from the realities of adulthood and enjoy themselves for a short while.

You Kept Your Promise....

Victor Van Dort: With this hand I will lift your sorrows. Your cup will never be empty, for I will be your wine. With this candle, I will light your way into darkness. With this ring, I ask you to be mine.

The Corpse Bride: I was a bride. My dreams were taken from me. But now - now I've stolen them from someone else. I love you, Victor, but you are not mine.

Victor Van Dort: Wait. I made a promise.

The Corpse Bride: You kept your promise. You set me free. Now I can do the same for you.

The Favored One....

Sultan’s True Love

“Throne of my lonely niche, my wealth, my love, my moonlight.

My most sincere friend, my confidant, my very existence, my Sultan, my one and only love.

The most beautiful among the beautiful…

My springtime, my merry faced love, my daytime, my sweetheart, laughing leaf…

My plants, my sweet, my rose, the one only who does not distress me in this world…

My Istanbul, my Caraman, the earth of my Anatolia

My Badakhshan, my Baghdad and Khorasan

My woman of the beautiful hair, my love of the slanted brow, my love of eyes full of mischief…

    I’ll sing your praises always

I, lover of the tormented heart, Muhibbi of the eyes full of tears, I am happy.”

Moonlight Dance...

Come, maidens come, to our merry dance,
Youth and Beauty come together;
Let young hearts meet
In converse sweet,
At twilight's time, in the summer weather:
By the pale light of the thoughtful moon,
When all is hushed, save the sighing breeze;
In a still and balmy night of June,
Under the leaves of the linden trees.

There song shall awake its softest tones,
Opening all the soul to pleasure;
At silent eve
Our feet shall weave
The jocund dance to its melting measure.
Come, maidens come, when the night-bird's tune
Is wafted afar on the gentle breeze,
Come to our dance, when the watchful moon
Shines through the leaves of the linden trees.
Charles Mackay
